I have decided to sell one of my young breeding Star bulls : LR 18-2015. He is slick, polled and is yellow-dun in color. Attached are photos as a calf and recently at 18 months of age (DOB: May 13, 2015). His sire is my Grey Bull who descends from Nocona (Senepol) and Honey Bear (Tuli). His dam is sired by an AI bull Blondie (Senepol) who was a heifer bull from St. Croix (photo at my website in the Purebred Reference Sires page) and his maternal grand sire is Bandito Tres (Red Angus). His breeding is 46.9% (15/32) Tuli, 31.3% (5/16) Senepol, 15.6% (5/32) Red Angus, and 6.25% commercial (his second great grand dam was a Brahman X Hereford cow). I have been running him with several 15 month-old heifers since mid-July. Last June at 13 months of age, he passed a fertility test (BSE exam) performed by a local veterinarian. This bull is very gentle. If bred to red cows, half of his calves are expected to be red versus yellow. Also, half of his calves would be expected to be slick versus hairy. His daughters should be moderate in frame size if bred to large-framed cows.
